What I see in conversations
I recently spoke with three different leaders.
All successful. All stuck.
And all three told the same story, in other words:
“From the outside, things look good. But inside, I’m tired. Not physically tired.
But tired of convincing myself that this is it.”
What strikes me:
It’s not the weak leaders who get stuck.
It’s the strong ones.
The people who are used to persevering.
Who take responsibility without complaining.
Who deliver results, no matter the cost.
Until the point where they feel the costs have become too high.
And then comes the question:
“How long will I keep doing this?”
This question isn’t a weakness.
It’s the beginning of reorientation.
