What guidance is not

What guidance is not

Let me be clear about what guidance is not.

It is not therapy.
I am not a therapist who analyzes your past.

It is not coaching.
I do not give you assignments or step-by-step plans to follow.

It is not advice.
I do not tell you what to do with your life or work.

What it is, is more difficult to explain.
Because it is not a method.
Not a technique.
Not a model that I apply.

It is space.

Space to look at what’s going on without having to
solve it immediately.
Space to feel what’s difficult without having to push it away.
Space to be with doubt, fear, uncertainty—without anyone
trying to take them away.

Because that’s often what’s missing.

Not insight. Not knowledge. Not strategy.
But space.

Space where you don’t have to perform.
Space where doubt isn’t a weakness.
Space where not knowing is allowed to exist.

My role isn’t to change you.
My role is to hold that space while you change.

I ask questions that help you look deeper.
I name what I see without judging.
I hold on to what’s essential, even when it gets uncomfortable.

But I don’t give answers.
Because you are the expert of your own life.

You don’t need an expert to tell you what to do.
You need someone who looks with you. Who clings to the truth, even when it’s painful.
Who holds space for what isn’t yet clear.

And in that space, what must arise arises.

Not because I create it.

But because you finally have the space to be with what is.

And in that being—in that presence with yourself—change begins.

Not by adding anything.
But by making space for what is already there.

Please feel free to contact me if you need any help.
Sincerely,
Frederik
