The voice you follow

The voice you follow

There are two voices inside you.

One voice is loud.
Urgent. Certain. Persuasive.
It is the voice of fear, disguised as wisdom.

The other voice is soft.
Patient. Calm. Honest.
It is the voice of your conscience.

The loud voice says: stay where it is safe.
The soft voice says: go where it feels right.

The loud voice shouts with arguments and logic.
The soft voice whispers with truth and feeling.

And in our culture, we have learned to listen to the loud voice.
Because it sounds convincing.
Because it promises certainty.
Because it confirms what we already think.

But that certainty is an illusion.

Because the loud voice speaks from fear of the unknown.
From the need for control.
From the desire for safety over truth.

The soft voice, on the other hand, speaks from something deeper.
From what you already know inside.
From what resonates with who you really are.

And that is exactly why it is so difficult to hear.

Not because it speaks too softly.
But because the loud voice drowns it out.

To hear the soft voice, you have to become still.
You have to stop thinking and start feeling.
You have to dare to listen to what you already know inside but don’t want to
acknowledge.

And that takes courage.

Courage to choose what resonates, even if it is uncertain.
Courage to follow what feels right, even if it is challenging.
Courage to trust what you feel, even if you cannot prove it.

Because ultimately, that is the only voice you can trust.

Not the voice that shouts the loudest.
But the voice that is most deeply true.

The voice that does not convince with arguments.
But resonates with truth.

Which voice do you follow?
