The difference between pressure and stress

Leaders can handle pressure.
But stress arises when the pressure no longer has meaning.

Pressure is concrete. It consists of deadlines, responsibilities, expectations.
Stress is diffuse. It is the feeling that you no longer know why you are doing this.

When you lose touch with your inner purpose, every form of pressure becomes heavier.

Not because you are less competent.
But because your system is asking for something other than more of the same.

The question is not: how can I deal with stress better?
The question is: why has this pressure lost its meaning?

And that question requires silence, not another productivity tool.
