Why successful people struggle with letting go
Successful people are good at holding on.
They stick to goals until they’re achieved.
They hold on to responsibilities, even when it’s tough.
They stick to strategies until they work.
And that’s what made them successful.
But that same quality becomes an obstacle in transition.
Because transition requires letting go.
And letting go feels like giving up.
And giving up is something successful people don’t do.
So they keep holding on.
To a role that no longer suits them.
To an identity that no longer fits.
To a version of themselves they’ve outgrown.
Until they’re exhausted.
Not because they’re weak.
But because holding on to the wrong thing is harder than letting go.
Letting go isn’t weakness.
It’s the strength to choose what’s truly important.
